Jiten Prasad continues his fine form in the local snooker scene after winning the Open Tournament final at the Merchant Club in Suva yesterday.

The national Number 1-ranked player beat Deepak Jairam in the final by a convincing 4-1 margin.

The two Nausori Club players beat the Prasad brothers, Sahil and Rahil in the semifinals.

Jiten beat Sahil 3-2 while Jairam accounted for Rahil 3-1.

Jiten and Sahil Prasad together with Pritesh Khatri will represent the country in the Oceania Championship in Sydney next year.

Meanwhile the next event on the Fiji Billiards and Snooker Association calendar is the Pillay Garments Champion versus Champion National Tournament on the 14th and 15th of November.
