National Champion Candidate Master (CM) Calvin Prasad remains unbeaten at the 2015 Oceania Zonal Open Chess Championship which is currently underway in Australia.

Starting at Rank 30 in a field of 103 players, Prasad has won twice and drawn a match.

Calvin Prasad defeated Australians Aurel-John Buciu and Philip Vels apart from a stunning forced draw against top-ranked International Master Moulthun Ly of Australia in a tactical endgame.

Australia-based CM Sanmogam Goundar has also registered a win against Aaron Ziwen Wang of New Zealand in one of his opening games.

Fiji is represented in the Women’s Division by Women’s Candidate Master (WCM) Gloria Sukhu who goes head to head with Sugandha Goswami who is also from Fiji in the next round.
