A new format will be used in this year’s Banana Cup bowling competition with both the men’s and women’s teams playing in the same category.
Defending champion Semesa Naiseruvati knows with the category now open it will make it even harder for him to defend his title this year.
“It’s going to be a very tough competition with the women coming to play against men this time. I have a very good lead. I believe we will combine well as we have been practising together. He is Sai Tokelau. He is an upcoming bowler. He is the rookie of the year and has been playing good bowls.”
Meanwhile RENA Distributors has come on board as sponsors for the 15th consecutive year with a handsome amount of $1200.
The two day competition starts tomorrow at the Suva Bowling Club.
