Nakarawa's past will not affect selection-Ryan

July 7, 2016 5:13 pm

Vodafone Fiji 7’s coach Ben Ryan says Leone Nakarawa’s past will not have an effect when he names the final team to the Rio Olympics next week.

Nakarawa is on a six month behavior observation term from this month after being charge for being drunk and disorderly in June last year.

Ryan says this has nothing to do with Nakarawa’s rugby career.

“It will be very unfair to discipline him for something when he was with us. It didn’t happen around our codes of conduct. He hasn’t put a foot wrong since he has been with us. He has been a professional. He has to be prepared for that.”

The national coach names his final 13 next Friday.
