Naiyaravoro scores for Waratahs

Fijian-born winger Taqele Naiyaravoro scored a a double to help the Waratahs hammered Sunwolves 77-25 in Sydney last night.

This was the Waratahs third win by more than 50 points against the Sunwolves and it is also the most points the Sydneysiders have scored in a Super Rugby match.

The triumph means that Daryl Gibson’s side have booked their place in the knockout stage with a round still to play and they will finish at the top of the Australian Conference.

Fijian-born and Sunwolves outside back Semisi Masirewa was red carded for a tip-tackle on Bernard Foley.

Meanwhile, Chiefs secured a hard-fought 24-19 victory over the Brumbies.

Ngani Laumape scored four tries as the Hurricanes claimed a 42-24 win over the Blues in Wellington last night and Bulls won against Jaguares 43-34 this morning while Stormers defeated Sharks 27-16 at Newlands this morning.

Naiyaravoro scores for Waratahs

Fijian-born Taqele Naiyaravoro scored a try to help Waratahs defeated Reds 52-41 in their super rugby clash last night.

There was no denying Naiyaravoro in the 29th minute, who showed off his incredible power by tossing aside three Reds defenders to rush down the left-hand sideline to score.

In other match results, Rebels beat Blues 20-10 while Crusaders defeated Chiefs 34-20.

Today, Brumbies will battle Sunwolves at 6.05pm.
