Last minute try sinks Drua in NRC semifinal

The Fiji Airways Fijian Drua will not defend their  National Rugby Championship title next week against Western Force.

This is after the Drua were beaten by Canberra Vikings 27-28 in the second NRC semifinal this afternoon in Australia.

The Vikings scored a try on the stroke of full-time and the conversion pushed them to the grand final next weekend.

The Drua were leading 22 nil in the first half after scoring three tries.

Lock forward Peni Naulago, inside centre Serupepeli Vularika and hooker Tevita Ikanivere scored for the Drua while fly-half Enele Malele converted two of the tries and nailed a penalty.

The Vikings had a dream start in the second spell with 3 successive tries as they trail by 21-22 before the Drua scored their fourth try to replacement hooker Ratunaisa Navuma.
