It was the school's effort: Soqoiwasa

August 4, 2018 6:04 pm

“It was the school effort as a whole that contributes to the team’s successful performance at the ground.”

That was the sentiments of the Ratu Kadavulevu School Principal Walesi Soqoiwasa after they won all their semi-final matches in the Powerade Super Deans competition at Suva’s ANZ Stadium yesterday.

Soqoiwasa says they should continue their support and get behind their school teams.

“I want to thank the Almighty God for his provision to allowing all our five teams to the final. I thank the coaches and the team management and also the support from the Old Boys Association and the school as a whole for their continuous support to our team which made us win all our games.”

The RKS under 18 side thrashed Ratu Navula 36-5 in the second semifinal yesterday while Cuvu beat Marist in the first semis.

RKS will meet Cuvu College in the final.

Meanwhile, RKS will meet QVS in the under 14 final next week.

This was after RKS defeated Lelean Memorial School 19-8.

QVS then hammered Suva Grammar School 43-6.

In the under 15 grade LMS beat QVS 25-16 while RKS beat Marist 25-7.
