Highlanders to host Super Rugby match in Fiji

Fiji born, All Blacks wing Waisake Naholo’s Highlanders is the next new team to host its Super Rugby match in Fiji.

Highlanders will travel for the first time and will play the Chiefs on Saturday, the 30th of June in Suva.

Fiji Sports Council Chief Executive and Super Rugby Steering Committee Chair, Litiana Loabuka says, with the fixtures now confirmed and only five month away, they have mapped out the plans on hosting the game.

“We actually had the Highlanders team on the ground during the 2017 Super Rugby game. They saw how everything went, the observed the way the games protocol, all the arrangements were in place and they watched how the operational team operated and other things were done.”

She says, the ticket prices is yet to be released but the fans can expect the tickets to go on sale from next month.

“The first week, I think the 10th of February, we will have the tickets go on sale. So fan should book the tickets plus come down and support the game and looking forward to a tough match between the Highlanders and Chiefs.”

The Highlanders versus Chiefs match is expected to kick off at 7.35pm on 30th of June at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
