Suva applies for Kautoga's release

The Suva football side is believed to have applied the release for Labasa striker Vilitati Kautoga today.

Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf has confirmed receiving the application.

With the player transfer still going on, Suva President Ritesh Pratap says they are ready to take on Lautoka in the Vodafone Premier League match this weekend.

“I think everybody knows the strength of Lautoka. They are the consistent team in Fiji at the moment – and our first game of the season against Lautoka is going to be a tough game but our training is going well under our new coach Imtiaz Khan.”

Pratap has also confirmed that Labasa’s Ratu Anare who was set to join the capital city side has withdrawn his application.

Meanwhile, in the VPL matches this weekend, Labasa faces Ba at 1.15pm at Subrail Park on Saturday.

Three matches will be played on Sunday, all starting at 3pm, Rewa hosts Nasinu at Ratu Cakobau Park, Lautoka plays Suva at Churchill Park and Tavua meets Nadi at Garvey Park.
