Lautoka to play Labasa in Pacific Cup final

Lautoka will play Labasa in the Pacific Cup football final in Auckland, New Zealand today.

This is after their come from behind 3-1 win over neighbors Nadi in the second semifinal.

Peni Tuigulagula struck for the green machine from Nadi in the 14th minute to give them a 1-0 lead.

But 8 minutes later Samuela Drudru equalized for Lautoka.

The scores were locked 1-1 at half time.

A defensive blunder by Nadi’s Patrick Joseph in the 5th minute of the second half saw Dave Radrigai scoring the second goal for Lautoka before Muni Shivam netted the third.

In the first semifinal, Labasa defeated AUFFI All Stars 1-0 after Siotama Kubu scored the winning goal in extra time

Labasa is gunning for their third crown of the year after winning the BOG and IDC titles.

The Babasiga Lions will welcome back veteran defender Taniela Waqa in the final after he missed the semifinal.
