The Fiji futsal team are back in the country after the 2019 OFC Oceania Championship competition.

The team was held back in Noumea, New Caledonia following a measles scare.

Coach Mira Sahib says he is happy to be back home.

“It’s good that none of our players were tested positive of measles. And like it was a long wait but a fruitful one and now we can go back home feel relaxed and go on our daily chores.”

A few members from the Futsal team are part of the Suva Futsal team.

They will now be preparing to travel to New Zealand to represent their district at the 2019 Pacific Cup.

Four teams which include Suva, Labasa, Lautoka and Nadi will be taking part in the 2019 Pacific Cup which begins next week Wednesday.
