FNRL still sorting out Bati payment

February 26, 2018 5:28 pm

The Fiji National Rugby League says NRL needs ample time to get all the details in place for the Vodafone Fiji Bati 2017 World Cup semi-final payment.

This after Bati Captain Kevin Naiqama continued to show his frustration about their delayed payment and says they will continue to boycott any planned Tests until the pay dispute is resolved.

FNRL Chief Executive Timoci Naleba says he met with Rugby League International Federation manager Tas Baitieri last week in Australia and says they are finalizing their payments.

“He’s now getting the approval that he requires from the authorities and they are very careful with this because it could be implicated in other activities that are illegal in Australia and he’s assured ones they get all the substantive approval and all those he work for.”

Naleba adds the Fiji Bati players will just need to cope with the situations as they are working tirelessly with NRL to sort it.
