The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s team will be banking on its experienced players ahead of the Rugby 7s World Cup later this month.
Coach Iliesa Tanivula have retained five of his players who were part of the 2013 World Cup where they finished ninth.
These are Viniana Riwai, Asinate Savu, Priscilla Siata, Luisa Tisolo and Rusila Nagasau.
Coach Tanivula says they are ready for the big task at hand.
“The last weeks has been intense and the response from the girls have been good and I trust my girls especially the experienced ones will rise to the occasion and be led by examples to the young ones.”
The Fijiana side will open its campaign against Spain on the 20th of this month.
Meanwhile, the Fiji men’s team is currently camping in Utah and the 13 member squad will be named on the 18th of this month.
Fiji opens its campaign against the winner of Qualifying Match 7, either Japan or Uruguay on the 21st of this month.
