Vodafone Fiji 7s coach, Ben Ryan says the team will be out to make a statement during the opening leg of the World Sevens Series in Dubai next month.

Ryan named 14 players last week and says he wants to see the team re-affirm its position as world champions when the new season gets underway in two weeks time.

“We go to the tournament as the world ranked number 1 ranked team and my message to the boys is simple. When we go out, we need to walk off the field and everybody needs to be reminded just how good the Fiji 7s team is.”

The Fiji 7s side will resume training camp today and flies out to United Arab Emirates on Thursday.

The Dubai 7s will be held next Friday and Saturday and you can watch it live on FBC TV.
