Players away on national duty will not be reason enough for postponement of national league matches this time around, as Fiji Football Association will continue with matches this weekend.
League Board chairman Jainendra Sukhu says 20 league matches are yet to be played.
He says it will be a rush to the end of the season with Oceania Football wanting the next league season to begin in November.
“There are 20 matches which were postponed and we want to finish them. Also Oceania wants us to start out league for 2013 in November. For those reasons we will get on with the league matches and avoid further delays.”
Games, this weekend sees, Ba hosting Labasa on Saturday while Tavua playing at the Academy Grounds hosts Savusavu. On Sunday, Tavua takes on Labasa while Ba plays Savusavu.
At Ratu Cakobau Park, the stage is set for a double header with Rewa hosting Lautoka, followed by Suva taking on Nadi.
