The Fiji Beach Volleyball team will prove all odds wrong when they gear up for the Pacific Mini Games that will be held in Vanuatu next month.

Team member Qilu Elliot says they have been struggling financially and trying to maintain their fitness due to the poor training facilities.

“The court we have in Suva is not good enough because the sand is fine and it’s not to the international standard so that’s why we are travelling down to Pacific Harbour.”

The team will leave the country next week and hope to win gold in order to be qualified to the Commonwealth Games next year.
