The Fiji Airways Drua team knows it will be crucial to get their campaign started on a winning note in the National Rugby Championship against Melbourne Rising this Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
The team has become one of the crowd favourites in the tournament and they know there’s a lot of pressure from the fans to deliver this Saturday.
Halfback Frank Lomani says the team has been preparing and the local boys have been gelling well with the overseas boys and everyone is all vying for a place in the 23 member squad to play Melbourne Rising.
“Some of the boys are coming in from overseas while some are just locals. I think the locals are putting in the hard yards and working really hard to get into 23 member squad.”
Meanwhile, the Classic Wallabies will play the Fiji Legends in the curtain raiser match at 1 pm and the Drua will take on Melbourne rising at 3 pm next Saturday at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
