Defending champions Northern have received a lifeline and has qualified for the semi-finals of the Skyline Fiji Police Inter District Championships.

Northern qualify as runner ups from Pool 1 with three points while Western 2 are the pool winners from Pool 1.

In Pool 2 Labasa stopper Akuila Mataisuva scored a goal for PSRU for a 1-nil victory over Southern 1 and need a draw against Western 1 to make it to the semis.

Eastern 1 have qualified from Pool 2 for the next round.

Pool matches are underway at Nasova grounds in Suva while the semi-final and final will be played tomorrow.
