Defence will be a key factor-Ryan

Defense will play a crucial role in the Vodafone Fiji 7s side’s mission to win the World Sevens Series title.

National coach, Ben Ryan says his side will work on polishing up their defense strategies in the coming week, leading into the Glasgow 7s next weekend.

“We’ve got the most points scored by a country mile this year as well as the most points scored last year. So our attack is working out well; we’re scoring on average more than 30 points a game but our defense just needs to improve a bit. If we can concede 20 points less than we conceded in Tokyo, that’s a difference between winning the title.”
