Cricket Fiji has cleared the air on doubts that the Chief Executive Inoke Lesuma was not fired.

Association Chair Gaurang Patel says Lesuma has been a great CEO he had to resign due to personal reasons.

“The Cricket board has accepted his resignation in good faith and there are no such things that the CEO was terminated or fired. It was just rumors that were spread by some individuals.”

Lesuma resigned on Sunday and Sitoki Qaluvakadua has been appointed as the interim CEO for the Association.

Meanwhile national coach Shane Jurgensen who had earlier stated that he had resigned has been re-instated as the coach.
