Suva defeated a 10-men Ba 3-2 in the Rewa Galaxy Premier League at the ANZ Stadium this afternoon.

Vodafone Fiji Under 20 rep Nickel Chand scored two goals for the capital city side with his first coming in the first half before Avinesh Swamy equalized for Ba before halftime to see the scores levelled at 1-all at halftime.

Suva took the early in the second half through a Maciu Dunadamu goal.

Ba soon found themselves a man down after Ravnit Chand was shown the red card.

Nickel Chand scored his second goal in the 30th minute of the second half.

Shamil Rao managed a consolation goal for Ba in the dying stages of the match.

In the other premier league match today, Lautoka beatTailevu Naitasiri 4-1 at Ratu Cakobau Park.

So the race for second spot remains wide open with two rounds remaining with Suva, Ba, Labasa, Lautoka and Rewa have a fighting chance.

Meanwhile in the Senior League, Rakiraki thumped Tavua 6-1 and Navua defeated Nasinu 2-1.
