The Fiji boxing schedule will kick start with a bang next February in the Light Heavyweight division with a title bout at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Former Universal Boxing Organization and IBF Australasian Super middleweight champ Joseph Kwadjo will take on upcoming light heavyweight boxer Savenaca Naliva.

Promoter Freddy Chand says the Light heavyweight title has been vacant for a long time and this bout on the 9th of February will be the first major title fight in the country.

“It took almost two years for them to come for this fight. As the media was highlighting from before last year in Prince Charles Park, if I’m not mistaken. The challenge was there from Naliva and Kwadjo accepted it.”

Chand adds the bout between Kwadjo and Naliva is the result of a lot of tough negotiation.
