April 2, 2012 7:00 pm

The Ba-AS Tefana O-League match will now be played on April 14 in Auckland, New Zealand.

Fiji Football Association league board secretary, Jainendra Sukhu says this is the latest confirmation received from Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) officials.

The match was supposed to be played on March 31 at Govind Park in Ba but adverse weather and flash flooding in Fiji forced the cancellation of the match.

The game, a vital fixture in deciding who will finish top of Group A is a tall order for Ba who need to beat the Tahitians by at least 20 goals to qualify for the final.

New Zealand’s Waitakere United currently leads the group after beating AS Mont Dore 4-0 last Saturday.

A win over Ba for AS Tefana next week will give them the lead in Group A and a place in the final to face Auckland City in May.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League games will resume next weekend.
