Pacific Sprint King Banuve Tabakaucoro is trying to reach the qualifying time to get his place in Team Fiji in the Pacific Games in July.

Tabakaucoro clocked 10.50 seconds in his last run and is outside the qualifying mark by a hundredth of a second.

Team Fiji General Manager Calvin Yee says Banuve and another athlete are currently in the B Qualifier.

Yee says they need to reach the A qualifier in order to travel to Samoa.

“Including Banuve Tabakaucoro. He is making his way back trying to meet the qualifying time and also Kameli Sauduadua in the 400 metres.”

Athletics Fiji will name its final squad after the Fiji Games in April.
