Four records broken so far in Fiji Finals

Four records have been broken in the 2019 Coca-Cola Games, at the end of day two.

The first record was broken by Vilimoni Susunikoro of RKS in the Sub Junior Boys Javelin event.

Susunikoro threw a distance of 50.52m breaking the old record of 47.63m set by Simione Koliloa in 2017.

Shontelle Lockington of Xavier College set the second record in the Intermediate Girls High Jump on day two of the Fiji Finals.

Lockington jumped a height of 1.68m yesterday breaking the old record of 1.65m set in 2017 by Diama Maramanikaibau of Holy Cross.

The third record was also broken yesterday by Orisi Navavau of MBHS in the Inter-Boys Shot put throwing a distance of 15.99m, breaking the old record of 15.76m set in 2016 by Kaliopasi Uluilakeba of MBHS.

The fourth record was set by Joana Vakasobuduru of Sigatoka Methodist in the sub-junior girls Long Jump.

Vakasobuduru jumped a distance of 5.07m in her first attempt, slashing the record of 4.99m set in 2016 by Mereseini Waqatoki of Suva Grammar.
