The Sports Ministry will expand its anti-doping and drug policy awareness in the Western Division from next week.
While giving his ministerial statement in parliament, Sports Minister, Parveen Kumar says they have carried out their consultation towards anti-doping and drug policy in the Central, Eastern and Northern Division in the last two weeks.
Kumar says this initiative will give them a respective lead role to host the first ever Pacific Regional Seminar on manipulation of sports competition.
“The seminar compliments and has strong core relation with anti-doping sports policies that will safe guard the welfare of players and the integrity of the sports.”
He adds the seminar will help promote the ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competition.
