The Primary School Central Netball Championships kicked off on a high note at the National Netball Center in Laucala Bay this morning.

60 schools from seven districts have started their competition which ends tomorrow.
Central Netball inter-district President, Timaima Nailolo says, island schools have shown class performance in the opening day of the competition.

“It’s been very competitive and tough especially with the teams coming from the Island they have really done well compared to the urban teams.”

So far the Kadavu’s eight teams have dominated the competitions winning all of their matches ahead of Suva and Nasinu.

The championship continues tomorrow starting at 8:45am while the cup quarterfinals begin at 12:30pm.
