Ninety percent of women who suffer from breast cancer, have a chance of recovery if the killer disease is detected in its early stages.

Fiji Cancer Society – Secretary – Paulini Saurogo says, medical experts have confirmed that treatment is available for early stages of breast Cancer.

Saurogo says, with this in mind, the Fiji Cancer Society is encouraging women to go for regular tests if they feel lumps in their breasts.

She says this can help reduce the number of severe cases.

Numerous campaigns were held whole of the this month to mark PINKTOBER, which’s in an effort to raise awareness on Breast Cancer, support and raise funds for those suffering from this disease.
