A woman believed to be in her twenty’s is in police custody for allegedly stabbing her female flat mate last Saturday.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the woman was arrested from her home in Raiwaqa this morning.

It is alleged that the suspect stabbed the 26-year-old following an argument.

Meanwhile, the file in relation to the death of a 50-year-old woman in Rakiraki last week will be sent for an inquest.

Her post mortem reveals her death was unnatural.

The body was discovered on a farm in Wairuku, Rakiraki.
