A 26-year-old woman of Cakaudrove who allegedly set fire to the Cakaudrove Provincial Council office in Savusavu, early this month has been charged with arson.

Ateca Basalusalu appeared in the Magistrates Court in Savusavu yesterday.
She was granted a bail of $500 by Magistrate Jeremaia Savou with $500 and she will be transferred to the Labasa High Court, on the 3rd of next month.

Meanwhile, the fire occurred two weeks ago at around 6.30am and the National Fire Authority officers managed to stop the fire from spreading to other offices.
