Villagers in Nasautoka in Tailevu are getting help from Police and the National Fire Authority in trying to clear out mud and other debris from their home.

FBC News reporter, Meli Tavaga who is currently at the village says more than 80 homes were flooded in the village.

“Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is currently visiting evacuation centres and most people living in Wainibuka are still in evacuation centres.

Most homes in Wailotua were completely destroyed by flood waters.

Homes in Nasautoka were submerged during the flood as well.”
