The University of The South Pacific hopes to make a difference for the Fiji Blood Bank with a three-day blood drive at the Laucala Campus in Suva.
Vice Chancellor, Richard Coll, says this gives students and staff a chance to help the Health Ministry and strengthen USP’s corporate social responsibility.
‘’Blood donation which relates to the service of the community is a very important for a graduate. We want the graduate to leave the university feeling that they are part of the community that they have the right to the obligation to contribute to the community and this is just one way to do that’’.
The faculty with the most donations wins the Vampire Shield and $500 cash.
The blood drive will become an annual event.
