The University of the South Pacific has been offering quality education for the people of the pacific region for 50 years now.
The university celebrated its 50th year of existence at its Laucala Campus in Suva yesterday.
Speaking at the event President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konousi Konrote says USP is the pride of the South Pacific region providing quality education since the 1960’s.
He encouraged the students to make the most from the university as the university had a lot to offer.
“Our young people today enjoy more opportunity in education than before in our history and USP has been a steadfast partner to the Fijian Government widening the reach for the Fijian Education System.”
He says the Government will work closely with the University in years to come adding that USP has a long way to go.
