Two men were produced at the Rakiraki Magistrates Court today charged with one count each of sedition and urging political violence.

Timoci Nacolatabisa and Apenisa Tucaketale have been remanded in custody until the 20th of this month when the matter will be called for mention.

The case relates to an ongoing investigation into reports of alleged seditious activities in the province of Ra.

The Lautoka Magistrates Court yesterday heard that at least 13 men are being detained in the Western Division in relation to the investigation into alleged seditious acts.

Three men were charged earlier this week and have been released on bail.

The State has applied to have the bail revoked and a ruling on that matter will be made tomorrow.
