Two men who allegedly assaulted a police officer in Suva have been remanded in custody.

Jale Ucuboi and Osea Koli Junior appeared before Magistrate Waleen George charged with one count each of serious assault.

It’s alleged that the two assaulted Officer Netani Seruwaqa in due execution of his duty on Saturday.

Magistrate George said that allegation of assaulting a police officer is a serious offence.

The two will be produced in court next Friday for their plea.
