Two men are dead following an accident involving three vehicles near Navutu, Sigatoka last night.

One of the victim’s who was the driver was allegedly trying to overtake… when he hit an oncoming vehicle and in the process hit a third vehicle.

The driver and his twenty-six-year old passenger died on spot… while a third victim is admitted at the Lautoka hospital in critical condition.

The occupants of the other two vehicles are admitted at the Nadi and Lautoka Hospital as investigations continue.

The road death toll currently stands at 21 compared to 20 for the same period last year.

Director Traffic SSP Mahesh Mishra says it is of great concern that within a span of a few days, four lives have been lost on our roads.
