Three juveniles who are alleged to have assaulted a couple before robbing them have been arrested by police in the Southern Divison.
The incident occurred in Raiwai yesterday morning when the victim was allegedly attacked by a group of youths when he was returning from a shop.
The victim’s wife who was sitting inside a taxi with their daughter came out to assist her husband and was allegedly assaulted too before they stole her phone.
It’s alleged the suspects then grabbed a bag from their daughter who was seated inside the car before fleeing the scene.
Police say quick action by the Southern Division taskforce, K-9 unit and officers from the Raiwaqa Police Station tracked down three of the youths aged 17.
Police has also recovered all the stolen items.
The three are being questioned as investigations continue.
