Teachers at the Nabasovi District School are taking shelter in a classroom after their quarters were destroyed.

FBC News has been informed that 5 teachers quarters have been destroyed – one completely blown down and another with its roof missing.

Here in Nabasovi , we are all feeling the hit of this cyclone. By now al the people’s houses have been damaged and the trees have broken branches and roofing irons are flying around everywhere.

It’s been confirmed that teachers from these buildings are now taking shelter in one of the classrooms at the Nabasovi District School.

School Headteacher Waisea Ratu says even roofs of some houses at Nabasovi village has been completely blown down.
