FRA Change Manager Mike Rudge says these bridges are in urgent need of repair – hence the need to close them immediately.

Rudge says this will cause delays in traffic but they are seeking patience and understanding from the public as they carry out the works for the safety of the public.

There has been no major works carried out on the bridges for years now – evident from the deteriorating state of the roads and bridges.
