The Fiji National University is finally putting it’s facilities in Raiwai to use, with the production of Fiji’s first ever locally written and produced television series Spice of Life.

Outgoing Vice Chancellor Ian Rouse says the facility has been in place for about six years but it is only now that they are utilising it.

Rouse financed the production after being approached last year by the Director Arun Chakravorty.

“I think this is good for film and television in Fiji. There’s great potential and there are a lot of people with incredible talent that just need to be nurtured and supported.”

Rouse says he is impressed with the episodes that he has seen so far and looks forward to seeing the reaction of the public when the show airs next month.

The seven episodes of Spice of Life will begin airing on FBC TV on November 26.
