The health Ministry relies a lot on data and research papers.

This was highlighted by National Advisor for Non-Communicable Diseases Dr Isimeli Tukana.

He says that evidence provided by researchers greatly assists the Ministry in their service delivery.

Dr Tukana also says that this allows them to be prepared for future disease outbreaks.

“ To pick up very early signs of Dengue or bovine tuberculosis and do something about it.”

Meanwhile, he is encouraging researchers to look at more issues that are currently affecting Fijians every day.
