Ratu Naiqama appeals for release of sedition suspects

August 26, 2015 5:23 am

SODELPA President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu is appealing for the release the sedition suspects currently in remand in Ra and Nadroga.

In a statement, the suspended MP says the sedition suspects are " law abiding citizens and have yet to be served full disclosures, thus making their remand an inhumane act and a breech to their fundamental human right.”

In the same breath, the Tui Cakau also sought a direct symposium with Bainimarama to discuss issues of discomfort challenging Indigenous Fijians like native lands, the Great Council of Chiefs and resources such as mining and qoliqoli.
