Post mortem conducted on Kadavu stabbing victims

A post mortem has been conducted on the bodies of two women allegedly stabbed to death at Namuana Village in Kadavu.

Elenoa Waqaicece and her mother, Salaseini Komaiyasi died as a result of excessive blood loss due to injuries allegedly suffered last Sunday.

Vunisea Police Station crime officer Corporal Moape Vu says the suspect is being held in custody and is expected to appear in one of the court in Suva next week.

Corporal Vu says say the attacks allegedly took place following an argument between the suspect and his mother-in-law.

An investigation is continuing.
