Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama was amongst other guests at the 2019 Spring Festival and the Chinese Lunar New Year event at the Civic Auditorium in Suva last night.

The event hosted by Chinese Ambassador to Fiji, Qian Bo who brought together more than a hundred guests which included a cultural performance by various groups.

Speaking at the event Minister for Defence, National Security and Foreign Affairs, Inia Seruiratu highlighted that Fiji and China have close cordial relations.

Seruiratu adding the Chinese Fijian community have worked alongside their fellow Fijians to drive development and progress across the country.

He adds the event is an opportune time to reflect and renew the relationship that Fiji shares with China.
