People from all walks of life commemorate Fiji Day

People from all walks of life have gathered at Albert Park in Suva this morning to mark Fiji’s 49th year of independence.
The historic day is being commemorated by thousands of Fijians around the country.

At Albert Park, people witnessed a presidential salute with President Major General Ret’d Jioji Konrote reviewing the parade
The Fiji’s Armed Forces also took part in a March pass followed by a 21 gun salute by RFMF officers.
Meanwhile, it was a sea of blue in Labasa as people marched through town to Subrail Park.
Fiji Day Celebrations were also held in Lautoka and Levuka this morning.
