Adopting new ideas and practices of Public Financial Management is the main aim of the two-day workshop provided for the Public Accounts Committee members in the region.
More than 30 PAC members in the region have gathered in Suva and have the opportunity to work with each other to consider the characteristics of Pacific Public Accounts Committees and how this is reflected in their work.
UK Parliament programme Manager, Anna Burt says the workshop is important as it allows participants to share their experiences and knowledge of proper public financial management.
”It’s for the region to work together and make best practice for the PAC’s to learn from each other and foster collaboration in the region.”
Meanwhile, Ninose Silas from Solomon Island’s says he is looking forward to learning from his counterparts and adopt the ideas and practices of PAC in his homeland.
