There is further evidence of warming relations between Fiji and New Zealand with the visit of NZ Foreign Minister Murray McCully.

The official visit to Suva involved a day of meetings with members of the Fijian cabinet including Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola.

McCully says the visit has helped identify areas of co-operation.

“This is the opportunity for our annual foreign policy talks. We look at what we’re doing in the relationship and how we can expand the depth of our co-operations. Both the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister have been about expanding the relationship.”

McCully is expected to meet other ministers today as well as Opposition MPs and representatives of regional organisations.
