NFA to build more stations in the country

The National Fire Authority has been tasked by the government to expand their services to other developing centres such as Navua, Korovou and Nabouwalu.

Chief Executive Manasa Lesuma says they will expand their services to the rural areas in support of government’s efforts towards the protection of its people and the enhancement of economic growth.

Lesuma has revealed some of the future plans for the authority.

_“Future plans in terms of building new stations currently we are now working on the Nabouwalu fire station and Rakiraki fire station and with the Rakiraki one it will replace the current one but its new stations all together.”

He says currently there are eighteen fire stations in the country and they aim to build twenty-one new fire stations by the end of next year._
