A major boost for Health Care in Fiji as Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama today officiated at the ground breaking ceremony of a new maternity ward at the CWM Hospital in Suva.
The new extension will include a two hundred bed facility with integrated clinical facilities.
Bainimarama says it will be a comprehensive facility unlike anything Fiji has ever seen before.
“We’ll be putting in post ante and neo-natal facilities, a first stage delivery room, a post aesthetics delivery unit, eight new delivery rooms, three new operating theaters, a palliative care ward, a high dependency unit.”
With almost two years of planning, the facility is one that meets high international standards and one that delivers a complete package of co-ordinated care designed for women.
