Manoca resident, Krishan Prasad says people have limited their movement as strong winds are being experienced.

Prasad who resides on the King’s Road near the Rewa River in Nausori says given the current weather condition, there is a possibility it might burst its banks.

“I can see that the river is very high, I can see it from my place but it has not crossed the King’s Road where I am living. But as far as Nausori town I cannot even leave my place because if the weather condition right now, we are having extremely strong winds here.”

He says at the moment families remain in their homes but they could move to the nearest evacuation centre should the situation worsen.
